THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN MÁLAGA CENTRO
We have often told you about Restaurante Matiz, our favorite place in Malaga. Today we are going to go a little further and we are going to make a selection of the best restaurants in Malaga Centro. For this we are guided in values such as their menu, of course, but also in the atmosphere and decoration of the premises, the service and attention, the tasting menu, or if they offer the possibility of tasting signature cocktails. With these criteria we have created our little guide with the best restaurants in Malaga Centro:
Located in San Juan de Letrán, 17 it is difficult to find such a charming, modern and cozy place among all the restaurants in Malaga Centro. Created by the brothers Javier and Alejandro, it is a place where Malaga cuisine becomes international and international cuisine in Malaga.
The menu changes every four months to always surprise the clientele, although there are fixed dishes that will stay forever. Such as the obligatory grilled Octopus on revolted potatoes. It is worth letting yourself be recommended on the subject of wines. They have a small selection of wines from different designations of origin with which they are always right.
Opened in summer 2016, it was a surprise among the Malaga Centro restaurants. In charge of Joanna Coghlan, she has the mark of several of Malaga’s best sushi and Mediterranean food chefs: Alejandro Salido and Rui Junior. With them Iván Rubio was formed, who manages the kitchens of Soca Restaurante, where he combines the best of both gastronomic cultures.
Located at number 15 in the central Císter street, the Tavern Uvedoble offers a very interesting variety of dishes and tapas with quality products and great elaborations. One of the stars on the menu is their Pilpil Prawn Minikebab, with which chef Willie Orellana wanted to combine concepts as different as haute cuisine and fast food. This same idea led him to develop the Taco de ropavieja or the Mini Pizza with apple, goat cheese and foie gras. In addition, proposals such as swordfish ceviche with avocado from Axarquía, roasted black noodles with squid from Malaga or swordfish morrillo in colored butter stand out.
Located in Plaza Enrique Garcia Herrera nº18, El Mortal is one of the most recent restaurants in Malaga Centro. Located in a place where natural light bathes the entire space thanks to huge windows, it has the right decoration to make the place more than cozy. It is a different place in Malaga gastronomy. Its main characteristic is that there is no kitchen, so its proposals are made on the go and always with products of the day.
Of course, there are still very good restaurants in Malaga Centro: Alexso, Astrid, La Sole, La Cosmopolita, KGB, Madeinterranea, Óleo or Ta-Kumi. But for us, the best restaurant in Malaga is still the Matiz Restaurant.
